PAGPASALAMAT, PAGLIPAY UG PAG INAMBITAY. SAULUGON TA! SIMBALLAY!


Simballay festival is celebrated every 2nd week of the month of December. It is an annual festivity of Nabunturanon to express; Togetherness, sharing and thanksgiving for a bountiful harvest.

Simballay festival is an event just like the Sinulog of Cebu and Kadayawan of Davao showcasing different variety of agricultural product of the 28 baranggays within our municipality. The event is also a symbol and respect in honoring indigenous people and their priceless efforts.


Before opening the celebration, few days ahead of that, women were busy preparing for their local costumes and props, men decorating the streets and building their authentic cottages abundant with their local products from different baranggay, children and teens were busy practicing for thw coral, garbo ang Iwag sa kadalanan competition.



Witnessing the merry making celebration was a blast! It is truly a heart warming feast for I thy see the unity, love and progress in our municipality. I did not expect that simbalay festival would left a mark in my heart.
